Possession Support Assessment

Course Aims

Who Is The Course Suitable For?

Any persons who wish to maintain their certification must successfully complete possession support assessments. Initial P/S will classify as (P) probationary and will require 4 months mentorship that forms part of a company’s competence management system. Once a suitable mentor, whom must be competent in P/S is happy that a probationary P/S candidate can sit an assessment, an assessment by an RTAS provider must be completed. The sponsor has to confirm the required shifts within the cycle prior to assessment or recertification.  There is no log book, but without confirmation on this basis no assessment or recertification can be undertaken.  Note: It is the sponsor’s responsibility to provide this.

If a person fails to carry out their assessment within the correct timescale, they lose the competency and will have to undergo initial training to regain the competency.
