Course Aims

Our course aims to ensure our candidates leave more aware of the impact their beliefs, values, attitudes and behaviour can have on others in the workplace and their responsibilities surrounding these issues and have a thorough understanding of the Equality Act 2010 and are aware of the rules that apply to all members of an organisation.

Training in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion provides a critical level of protection against discrimination claims from employees and customers.

Course Objectives

The course objectives are to:

  • define and understand the meaning of diversity
  • explore values, ethics and beliefs and what these mean to people and the organisations they work in
  • aim to bring about a positive behavioural change in the course participants, and
  • encourage people to believe that changing the way we behave as individuals will enhance their own work environment and the culture of their organisation

Additional Information

Our Equality, diversity and Inclusion courses are run in a relaxed and open manner. We believe good learning can be good fun too. For us, learning is most effective when people can share their personal stories and get relevant and factual information in a safe and friendly environment.

At the start of every course we make a contract with course participants. 

  • We encourage honesty and openness
  • We create, as far as possible, a safe and confidential learning environment
  • We tell people it’s okay to make mistakes in language and express their individual views without participants feeling threatened or uncomfortable.

But offensive remarks, made deliberately, will always be challenged.
