OTP Lift Planner Initial - Single Lift

Course Aims

Provides training for undertaking OTP Single Lift Planning developing knowledge, understanding and skills through practical and theoretical exercises.

Who Is The Course Suitable For?

This course is suitable for anyone required to undertake On Track Plant (OTP) Single Life Planning.

Candidates must be a minimum age of 18, hold a valid PTS competence and meet the medical requirements of Network Rail Standard NR/L2/OHS/00124 Competence Specific Fitness Medical Requirements to minimum medical level 4 and NR/L1/OHS/051 (Drugs & Alcohol).

Course Objectives

Following Completion of the training each delegate will be competent to undertake a period of mentored workplace experience to enable the learning to be consolidated through practical workplace experience. A minimum of four lift plans must be completed within the mentoring period.

Additional Information

Candidates must have:

  • Sufficient command of English language as detailed in Network Rail Company Specification NR/S/CTM/021 (Competence & Training in Track Safety).
  • A good understanding of mathematical skill (equivalent to basic GCSE level), along with a good working knowledge of Excel and Word. Candidates must have passed the pre-course assessment and be able to demonstrate this to the trainer.

Before any training takes place delegates will be required to successfully complete the OTP Lift Planning - Single Lift pre-course assessment. If the delegate is unsuccessful during this pre-course assessment delegates will not be permitted to continue into further stages of training. Delegates will be able to reapply for training at a later stage once they are confident that they will be able to successfully complete the pre-course assessment again.
